Not sure whether this is Senjyogatake or Kaikomagatake, but whichever it is, it's a pretty stunning mountain.
Posted by Setsunai at July 20, 2005 8:29 PMGood stuff here. This is my kind of shot.

Posted by: Setsunai at July 23, 2005 10:23 PM | Permalink to CommentI like it for the natural borders, natural composition. But the clouds themselves, they lend uncertainty to the shot. So many shots don't let you guess the weather, but in this one I have no idea what's going on. For me, that's what keeps me interested in a shot.
Good stuff.

I just got back from Senjo. It was mostly pretty cloudy, but what a sweet walk. Senjo is beautiful and the walk just about as well-rounded as you could ask for, forest approach, steep climb, approaching the summit, scrambling among crags, time in a cirque, and descending through alpine gardens and slopes splashing with waterfalls... just great. I heartily recommend it.

Glad the hike went well, Butuki. I'm heading that way fairly soon. Will be looking forward to your next report.
