The very same book arrived in my letter box just last week. I've dipped into it but haven't enjoyed it as much as I had originally thought. The prose is too matter of fact for me with little humour to break it up. I also feel I read too much about football last season so this book really needed to entertain me. The John Williams effort on the treble season is far better.
Great front cover though.

First the bloody print is too small. That's what comes of self-publishing and having a lot to say. He's got lots of facts and he can write pretty well (editing is atrocious though), but you're right: it's lacking on humour, and more annoyingly for me, he keeps taking unnecessary digs at people. So what if Paul Stewart wasn't fast, or if Everton are shite. Seems a bit petty at times. Not terrible, though, by any means. I was going to post it on to you Pat so I'm glad you let me know you got it too.

He stood out on the RAWK forum which is dominated predominantly by post match euphoria. He seems to have taken time to collect his thoughts and present them with some effort of order. On the web anyway. Here is less successful almost as if a businessman had written the book with an advisor telling him when to insert jibes about rival team/player.

Couple of things about RAWK Pat, seeing as I spend a lot of time there these days. Do you rate it as the best Liverpool fansite? Or do you prefer YNWA, TLW etc?

Also, wouldn't it be good to see a book by the editor of that site? I reckon he's the one who talks the most sense by far.
