When you've time Speedy...

I thought the performance in the first half was as good as I've seen so far this year but as the game wore on we gave the ball away so many times. Great to see Gerard back driving the team on. I still feel the English media overhype him but he's so important to the team. So a great result, decent performance but still a long way to go for me.
As for Garcia... I don't know, he's just yet to convince me he's the real deal. He was great in a couple of games at home against teams that are going to be relegated, but has been anonymous in at least as many again, especially away from home. Maybe I'm being unfair and he needs more time to adjust to the culture of the English game. So we'll give the lad more time, how's that?
I'd swap Josemi for a bag of onions...
Dodgy away from home, good against bad teams or when the team has already won the game, disappears for large periods of difficult games... Sounds like Harry Kewell!
I'd agree that the jury is still out on Garcia but I'm a bit more positive than you as he seems to have a combination of skill and fight. If anything, I'd say he was a bit too inclined to unnecessary flicks though, and needs that drilled out of him, but sometimes they work...
From the games I've seen, Josemi must have something on Benitez, because he's no match for Steve Finnan, who incidentally I reckon is becoming a very complete footballer these days and if Liverpool insist on not using him to his full potential well at least it's going to benefit Ireland's World Cup qualifying campaign!
Saints are going down (though I reckon Phillips will score against us, nipping in behind Hyppia and Carragher).
